Suitable for checking compatible engine cylinders and other precision bores for taper, ovality and dimensional variation when correctly referenced against an outside micrometer or setting standard.
Measurement notes
This is a comparative gauge and must be zeroed to a verified reference size. Clean all contact surfaces, rock the gauge through the bore to find the minimum reading and follow the engine manufacturer's measurement locations and tolerances.
