How it is used

The expander pliers are used to open a compatible ring only enough to pass over the piston. For installation into the cylinder, lubricate as specified, arrange ring gaps according to the engine procedure, compress the ring pack evenly and keep the piston square to the bore while tapping it in with an appropriate non-damaging tool.
